A Desire to Serve
I am passionate about education, our environment and a robust economy for all, especially as we confront the challenges of coronavirus for individuals, families and businesses.
My involvement leading the Natural Resources/Energy committee in Women’s State Legislative Council and now the Education committee have enabled me to see the details of our legislative process. This non-partisan 100-year-old group has weathered times of war, civil strife, and now this pandemic.
During my seven years with this group, I have seen the most progress when people with different views come together on issues that concern us all: support for education, air and environmental quality, and policies that support a strong but sustainable economy. I have experienced the patience and effort it takes to work with each other across the aisle and the power and results that come when we keep holding hands and listening.
When Marie Poulson announced her decision to step aside from this office next November, I realized that I am prepared to step up and serve our district.
I am someone who can listen. I am eager to understand your concerns, your passions and your questions. I ask for your vote so that I can give 100% of my efforts to being your voice in our legislature.
